Harris Boys Academy

We worked with Harris Boy’s Academy to help them design and implement creative and welcoming dining zones. We also refurbished their IT Classrooms and installed glass partitioning.

Brief

This project for the Harris Association included the conversion of an existing catering kitchen into a classroom and ICT study suite, the creation of a 6th form Coffee Bar and a VIP dining area.

Challenge

This project involved various challenges, such as:

  • Removal and safe termination of mechanical services in the kitchen area
  • Specialist treatment and decoration of existing hygienic wall cladding
  • Detailed planning and design to create functional and attractive classroom space
  • VIP restaurant – needed to be a quality upmarket feel segregated from the main dining area
  • 6th Form café area needed to be incorporated within a restricted area yet feel welcoming and relaxed.

Solution

Detailed space planning and interior design made this project a success. We made intelligent use of silicon joined glass to create feeling of space, whilst dividing the dining spaces from the main walkways.

Design features included the use of wall graphics and feature manifestation to enhance the look and feel of the environment. This school chose quality furniture and finishes to help to maintain an inspirational learning environment.

Project management and well planned installation programmes ensured completion on time and within budget.
