Halliford's Brief
Located in the beautiful town of Shepperton, nestling alongside the River Thames, this independent boys’ day school with girls in the sixth form has undergone a fast-track and extensive program of works this summer. We’ve transformed a tired Sixth Form space, two ICT classrooms and one science laboratory into stunning new learning environments.
The design scheme for the Sixth Form space includes a wide range of different learning zones, perfect for the modern student. From the private working pods, through the railway carriages and collaborative soft seating, this new Sixth Form space accommodates every student.
Our Challenge
This school needed a fast turnaround to ensure timely project delivery. The timescale from the initial project meeting to full specification sign-off was just 20 days. Our talented designer Michelle worked her magic to create the beautiful scheme as you see it in the pictures, and we’re confident the new space will help inspire and motivate students to do better.
Once the initial design concepts had been agreed, we worked through a full interior design process, including 3D photorealistic visualisation, colours and finishes, wall graphics and detailed furniture specification, involving the school at every step of the process.
Envoplan's Solution
The sixth form area design scope included the conversion of a tutor office and smaller seminar room into one larger classroom, with the removal of partitions. Within the science laboratories and ICT classroom we’ve also installed new fixed furniture, services and flooring, as well as redecorating the space. This varied mix of learning spaces embraces the latest learning styles, and helps set Halliford School head of other schools in the vicinity
