The Royal Masonic Brief
Update boarding spaces and create a new pastoral office within a disused debating chamber for a full refurbishment and renovation.
Our Challenge
The creation of the pastoral hub was a very challenging assignment involving a split level space which needed to fit six staff, storage and two separate meeting spaces! The task involved stripping out the existing facility and completing a full refurbishment.
Envoplan's Solution
We developed a stunning design scheme for staff and students which is both modern and homely. The use of fresh, light coloured furniture which is robust and easy to maintain has worked very well and the feedback has been extremely positive.
Common room inspiration
In addition, we were asked to redesign the common room area. This space needed to be a welcoming and relaxing space for the students to enjoy for both informal study and recreation, which we divided into zones through the use of a room screening storage system and varied floor coverings. The finished result has been very well received by students and staff alike and not only looks great but is a truly enjoyable place to be.
Pastoral perfection
This area is now warm and welcoming yet practical and professional. We created a co-odincated scheme that included clever storage solutions by taking advantage of the split levels within the room.
We also offered onsite visits by our interior design team, a workshop session at our London design centre plus a roadshow visit to the school – these enabled staff and students alike to see and trial furniture in the comfort of their own surroundings.
