This esteemed school commissioned a modernisation within one of their historic buildings, for a number of new classrooms.
Our Challenge
New classroom furniture was a key part of the extensive refurbishment of the prestigious School House building, and needed to be multi-use for a number of differing learning environments. This school has a very traditional yet forward thinking ethos, so despite being established over 150 years ago it needed a fresh, contemporary look to accurately reflect its new surroundings.
Envoplan's Solution
Our detailed solution involved a design journey where we discussed the flexibility of and the benefit to be had from various styles of classroom furniture and layouts working in collaboration with the College’s senior leadership team. Our aim was to help create very flexible classroom environments to promote group and collaborative work as well as traditional independent study. This included showcasing a number of sample tables and chairs in a wide variety of colours, designs and fabrics, with important stakeholders – the teaching staff – deciding on the final bespoke curved table design. We manufactured these to our high quality standards with an exceptionally sturdy and high class finish to ensure their students and staff would be happy and proud with their stunning new learning environments!
